CAIRNGORM NATIONAL PARK

Nestled in the ancient forest overlooking the glen beyond, Kennels is a haven in the woods. Welcome to your cottage in the Cairngorm National Park.

This recently renovated self catering cottage is a cosy hideaway in the Cairngorms. Relax in front of a roaring fire in a traditional leather wingback chair in the wood panelled sitting room framed with wonderful sporting oil paintings, after a day hiking, stalking or fishing on the estate. Then climb upstairs to your snug bedroom in the eaves and snuggle down under the softest quilts.

Kennels Cottage is in the heart of Glenfeshie Conservation Estate, WildLand’s flagship reforestation and restoration project. Here, you’ll see new native trees springing to life along the river and up the hillsides - a home for wildlife of all kinds.

THE SPACE

Kennels is a self-catering cottage for up to six people sleeping in one double room and two twin rooms. With a little bunk bed nook and lots of places to play hide and seek, Kennels is great for families.

Split across three levels, you’ll also find a kitchen, dining space and living space - both with a log stove. The interior is cosy, built for comfort after a long day on the hills.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Kennels Cottage is offered on a self-catering basis only. That gives you the freedom to cook whatever you like during your stay.

The farm office at Killiehuntly plays host to a little shop, where you can find curated food provisions as well as local spirits & beers to enjoy during your stay with us.

IN THE HEART OF OUR CONSERVATION EFFORTS

Kennels Cottage sits within the wild surrounds of the Cairngorm National Park. Stretching across undulating mountain tops, expansive wetlands and thick, native forests, the national park is home to a rich array of wildlife and local culture. As a responsible custodian of much of the national park, WildLand is committed to an ambitious and proactive programme of landscape-scale rehabilitation across our portfolio. To date, we have planted over five million new native trees, and created the conditions for many more to naturally regenerate - providing a home for wildlife, flora and fauna. We hope you’ll join us in this truly special corner of the world.
